FAQs

What age to I have to be to sign up?
Rockers from 5-17 are accepted. Rockers are placed with others in their age range and at their level.

What level do I have to be to sign up?
All levels are welcome, even beginners. When you register, be sure to inquire about what skills you need so you can start working on them.

What is the day like?
Imagine you are in a band. You will meet with your band, collaborate with your band, write tunes, rehearse and have band meetings with a really skilled coach. Each day all the bands will have the opportunity to perform for the group. There are also a lot of other fun camp activities incorporated into the day. Dress like a rock star, design your own rocker t-shirt and crazy hair day are just a few. Some days we have a giant dance party in our parking lot while other days we take a break to have a pizza party. Kids who are in the musical theater program meet with their cast each day and then particpate in all the other activities throughout the day.

What if I want to sign up for additional music lessons?
Rockers and theater participants get music instruction during the course of their day but sometimes rockers want to put in a little more time working on their music during the summer. For those students who wish to put in a little extra work, they can sign up for our summer music lesson programs and either gain additional skills or work on a new one. Lessons are offered all summer until 9Pm at night and all day Saturday.

What kind of equipment do I need?
Real rockers always have their own gear so in order to feel like a real rocker you will need your own instrument, amp and cables. Singers will need their own mics, cables and amps. For a complete list of all equipment, please check with the office. We carry all the equipment that you need in our store.

Can I sign up with friends?
Sure. Request to be in a band with your friends or sign up with your own band and get that extra help that you need to move forward on your own once camp is over.

Do rockers bring food to the workshop?
Rockers should bring a snack and a bag lunch, all nut free.

What is the gig like?
Imagine a huge concert, then imgaine yourself playing in it. Rockers are encouraged to invite as many people as they want, weather providing. If we move the show indoors we may limit the number of fans in the audience, but our beautiful new store provides a lot of extra room so we will accomodate as many people as we can. We keep rockers informed as to whether or not the show will be outdoors.

How do I sign up?
Co
ntact us for your registration form and mail it in with payment. We like to talk with our rocker families either on the phone or in person so we can determine placement.  We accept checks or Mastercard and Visa and will begin taking registration for Summer 2014 in beginning in Januarly 2014. We will accept rockers on a first come first served basis.
